The Oroqen
The Oroqen are a group in China who are being assimiated into China. It seemed like it was peacefully. Until the Olympics have came around. We have seen a lot of violenec everywhere in the world. And it seems like no one is happy about where the Olympics are being placed.
Act now eat later
As most of us know the cost of everything is going up. It seemed like it was just gas but recently we now see our food prices rising. Corn has gone up a lot because of biofuel. The US is using a lot of biofuel because we are trying to lean off of oil.But i think that maybe we should slow the process down a little.
The Sins of the Fathers
Police raided this polygamist sect in texas because of phone calls from a teenage girl claming she was pregnet and forced to have sex and marry a man much older. The teenage girl has yet to be found and the police actually think it is a women faking it. So, they took 400 something children out of the sect because of the threat of abuse. The court now has custidy of all the children and the women were told if they were to go back to the ranch they were possibly never going to see their children again. Most of the women went back. Recently they have found evidence of child abuse.
I think that even though the phone call is a hoax they had every right to raid the sect. I really hope they do not give these children back and now hopefully they will live a better life.

Morgan Tsvangirai
Morgan Tsvangirai has always had a problem with Zimbabwes leader Robert Mugabe. Tsvangirai is closer now to throwing out Mugabe. The past couple times Tsvangirai has tryed to take over Zimbabwe his life was at rish but he still is not stopping. He started a group named anti-Mugabe but it broke into two. One reason was because some of the group did not agree with Mugabe.

Nudge
This book is about making better decisions. It's about stuff like, wealth, happiness, & health. I think that is would be a great book for people to read because the state of the ecomoy is in. It could teach us how to have a differnt lifestyle one not so wasteful. This book gives people a nudge (ha the book is named nudge) to save power, but it also gives us a choice! Now who wouldnt enjoy that!?

Olympics
All throughout the years of the Olympics countries have boycotted against the places where they are being played. Theres not much more different about this one besides some of the athletes feel like they might be injured or i heard some might be worried about pollution. French President Nicolas Sarkozy might not go to the Beijing Olympics and some hollywood actors have invoked the idea of a boycott.
Bhutan
On March 24th Bhutan had their first ever political election. Some found it kind of difficult to balance democracy and their traditions at the same time. Buddhism is the main religion in Bhutan. Bhutan is a little kingdom in the Himalayans. When King, Jigme Singye Wangchuck announced he would support a constitutional monarchy with a popularly elected parliament. Most of the citiziens were scared of the idea because they thought it might cause instability. They had good reason to think that because it happened to Nepal and Bangladesh.
